Prove me wrong. I hadn't seen this video before. Anyone know why the 787b idles like it does?

While I absolutely love and respect the 787b, I'm going to have to counter with F1 GTR because McLaren F1.

Rotaries have a tendency to go Brap, Brap, Brap. I'm not sure why.

It has to do with how the engine is ported, the 787b have peripheral ports.. More bang for the buck, but lumpy idle and other disadvantages.. I don't know how to explain it in an easy way, but this might help. http://www.mazdarotary.net/porting.htm

The idle has to do with the type of intake/exhaust ports used in that motor, think of it as a HEAVILY cam'd piston engine, tons of overlap causes the lopey idle.

Such a comical scene with the 787b chasing a golf cart....

I'd argue it's a better car, but not better sounding.
